German Language Levels A1–C2
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international framework used to describe language proficiency. It defines six main levels, from A1 (beginner) to C2 (advanced).
A1–A2 — Beginner: Understand and use basic German in familiar, everyday situations.
B1–B2 — Intermediate: Communicate more independently and develop greater fluency and confidence.
C1–C2 — Advanced: Communicate effectively and accurately in complex personal, academic, and professional situations.

German Starter Course Pre-A1 for Absolute Beginners
If you have never learned German before, or you feel that starting directly with an A1 course would be too challenging, my Pre-A1 starter course provides a gentle introduction to German. The aim is to help you become familiar with the basics of the language and build enough knowledge and confidence to move on to a structured A1 course.
Who Is the Pre-A1 Course For?
This course is particularly suitable for learners who:
Want to simply learn a second language for the first time, but want a gentle introduction to language learning.
Feel unsure about starting at A1 and would like to build confidence first.
Would like to become familiar with the language first before starting with a structured A1 course.
What Does the Pre-A1 Starter Course Include?
The course consists of four short learning units covering essential German basics.
The units include:
Basic German vocabulary and expressions.
Illustrations, audio, and video materials.
Practice exercises to reinforce what you learn.
A gradual introduction to German.
The Pre-A1 course is not intended to replace an A1 course. Its purpose is to give complete beginners a comfortable starting point and prepare them for the next stage of German learning.

German Exam Preparation Online (A1-C2)
I offer one-to-one preparation for two of the most available German language exams: Goethe-Zertifikat and TestDaF. Get ready with personalized, exam-focused preparation lessons. They are not only designed for practicing but also to help you get familiarized with the exam format and develop effective exam strategies.
What Are We Going to Do?
Both Goethe-Zertifikat and TestDaF exams assess four specific language skills. You will need to demonstrate your abilities in Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking.

Are You Ready for Your Exam?
Exam preparation is not a substitute for learning or improving your German. You should already have a good command of German at the level required for your exam. The lessons then focus on applying your German effectively to the tasks and requirements of the exam. Your preparation is based on your particular exam, current German level, and individual strengths and weaknesses.
German Grammar Lessons Online A1-C2
If you do not need a complete German course but want help with grammar, I also offer individual grammar lessons from A1 to C2. The lessons are adapted to your questions and learning needs. You can come to a lesson with a specific grammar problem, or we can work systematically through the areas you need help with.
